Dillon Youth Basketball
Princeton Children's Fund, in partnership with the Princeton Recreation Department, is offering youth basketball this winter through the Dillon Youth Basketball League. This basketball opportunity is open to players in grades 4 – 10 who attend any of the 6 Princeton Public Schools or the Charter School.
Games and Practices
Games are played on Saturday mornings at the Dillon Gym at Princeton University (off of Elm Drive) and they will begin on January 5, 2019. Team shirts will be distributed to all players and are included in the PCF program cost of $15 for qualifying students.
Practices are held at John Witherspoon Middle School (217 Walnut Lane). The schedule will be based on the availability of gym space as well as the Princeton University academic calendar. Teams will not practice every week, however each team’s practice day and time will remain constant throughout the season on the weeks that space is available. A detailed schedule will be provided from the Princeton Recreation Department when it becomes available.
Commitment is very important to the success of the Dillon program.
All players are expected to attend all games and practices.
The Dillon Program
The Dillon Youth Basketball League is entering its 48th season. The program is a partnership between the Princeton Recreation Department and Princeton University. All of the volunteer coaches are made up of Princeton University students and PRD staff. The Dillon League is recreational in nature. All players will play in every game regardless of their skill level or whether they have attended the informal practice sessions. The Dillon League is about playing the game and having fun while doing it.
